KFA2 GTX 760 EX OC User Review Single Card vs SLi

Mr DPD will be bringing one of these today, can't wait, should have only really cost me £50 out of my pocket once I sell a couple of things and it's giving me hopefully about a 20+ FPS increase.

They certianly are cracking cards mate, sure you'll be delighted with your purchase.

Dial down on the AA settings and you'll see even better frame rates naturally.

My benchies were all pushed at max settings at 1080p based on a couple of review benchmarks so you will certainly see the performance you're looking for! :)

What are you upgrading from?

Cheers Schumi...although is that detracts or...distracts ;)

New sig coming soon anyways, needing a refresh.

Well I was going to say distracts but then thought that may be a bit hard on your posts :)

I hope that the new sig will be of equally high quality.

What drivers are you guys using?

Looking at the drivers thread, there seems to be some horror stories regarding some of the latest drivers.

Got the same card KFA2 EX OC and love it quiet, cool ( idles at 27 C under load 60-66 after few hours of gaming) got it for 209 from OcUK :)

SLI 460's. Bought it for 209.99 and it went up the day after I bought it xD BARGAIN! Love the card.

I was getting temps like yours recently (670 Jetstream SLI) and then I remembered I have a GPU duct fan so I just cranked on that haha. Temps came down to 81c top card in Metro (which really does make your cards poo out their guts).

In other games (like Grid 2) I never see temps over 65 or so but man, these newer titles (Tomb Raider, Crysis 3 etc) really do make things nice and hot :D

Nice review. You shouldn't have many problems with SLI. I've been running my 670s together since January and have met only a couple of casualties that were soon fixed :)

Nice one mate...ideal to know how well SLi is working out...I was just surprised at how consistently better it performed in all games :)

I'm going to stick the mesh grate on the side panel over the weekend and see how the temps drop as I know they should with a few fans connected but I'll need to pick up so 120mm dust filters to keep things clean inside ;)

Does your case have a side panel fan mount jrodga? Considering getting mine cut to fit an exhaust. My top card is hitting 78c in grid 2, bf3 isnt too bad at 72c. I had a fan mounted on the rear exterior of the case. But unfortunately i need to find a better way of attaching it. When it was installed i seen a drop to 68c on the top card in bf3. A side panel fan would be a more elegant solution.

Hi Setter,

My mesh side panel option with the 600t comes with spacers for 4x120mm fans. Ordered a fan controller for one of the bays at the front to control my 4xXigmatek White LED Fan's which I have to go on the panel. Couple of dust filters too and I should be good to go.

I had considered an exterior fan too but again no practical way to mount it. To be fair with the Window changed over to the mesh+fans my temps SHOULD drop dramatically from where they are.

Both were hitting around 90C @ 100% load each on Tomb Raider last night which prompted to the decision to change for sure. It's definitely an issue with the 600t as there is just a massive distance between the airflow getting to where it needs to go in the case.
