Kia Sportage vs Hyundai ix35 vs Nissan Qashqai

Lovely car by the way Russ, as I said we looked at this but the Qashqai just pipped it for us!

Ta. Only had it for less than two months but still makes me smile every time I see it! I know it's not everyone's thing and I'd hate to own an M3 but it's definitely one of the best things I've bought, probably the same with you and the Qashqai.

I've set myself a budget of £20k so the likes of the Mitsubishi Outlander or Subaru Forester are too expensive.

Jeep Compass doesn't look too bad, shame reviews for it are quite poor.

Do not hotlink images.

amazed nobodies mentioned a 2012 cx-5. consistently wins numerous "best crossover/small suv" awards against all the cars that have been mentioned in this thread yet hardly see any on the road. odd.

CX5 is expensive for a good spec model.

Of all the small SUVs my favourite is the Tiguan.

The big car vs small car argument comes into play, all new cars now will be 5 star ncap, but big car vs small car of same safety big wins every time.

Has this thread had a load of posts deleted? I'm sure somebody had pointlessly linked to an F11 535i in it.

Anyway, it turns out that said 535i was infact a massive spec car with almost every option including Dynamic Drive, Comfort access, etc etc which had obviously been priced by a non BMW dealer who had no idea what it was they were selling. The specification was incredible and unmatched by any F11 this side of £35k.

I just called the dealer and it's sold :(

So whilst it was a ridiculous suggestion for a thread like this, whoever it was that linked to it, that had to be find of the month for sure!

There was something odd with it though. Under the start button the pic showed the extra button that was fitted from 2012 onwards cars for disabling the start/stop, earlier cars never had that.

The all-new Nissan Qashqai will go on sale in February 2014.

Hotlinked image.

Been in that actual car last week. It's gorgeous like, but small, the boot isn't any great shakes. Styling though, inside and out is great. Really want one, guess I'll be waiting a while for it to appear on Nevos. Pesky customers and their demands :D

For this type if car it is. It's better than its competition, and much better than the original which looked a bit soft IMO.

Think it'll sell ridiculously well, can't make the old style fast enough, even now.

Eh!? I'm sure it'll be competent at what it does (Ferry kids) but it just looks like every other focus sized, jacked up mum wagon to me

Depends how you define better. Its pretty much the cheapest small SUV available which is why it sells by the bucket load. Times are hard after all.

I just bought a 2nd hand 59 plate Mitsubishi Outlander Elegance with 40k on the clock. It's a lot of car for the money that's for sure. Picking her up in the morning...

Cracking cars. Very underrated, hidden gems really. We have one of the Outlander's siblings, a Peugeot 4007 which is an Outlander with a Pug front end grafted on (similar to the Citroen C-Crosser which is the third version of this platform). Fantastic car, and don't let the 'soft roader' SUV looks fool you, with the manually adjustable 4x4 settings these things are actually very capable off road and in poor weather conditions.
