Kick Ass 2

I thought it was brilliant, but I did almost leave when
Colonel Stars and Stripes got killed. I mean, what a waste of potential... There were also some other weird decisions, such as killing Mr. Lizewski. I mean, wut?
One highlight was Mother Russia, whom I was both terrified of and attracted to, in equal measure.

I'd definitely recommend going to see it, if you enjoyed the first one, and even if you didn't. 7.5/10 for me.

Interestingly enough...felt like such a different film but refreshing as I watched the first one last night and that was a superb way to follow it up.

First off I too...

Was gutted when Colonel Stars and Stripes got killed...was an amazing character

Thought the...

Post credit scene was hilarious...awaiting the epic conclusion already

All in all enjoyed it as much if not slightly more than the first...9/10 imo!

Saw it this afternoon. Frankly, I'm impressed. I thought it was better than the first one. Enjoyed it soooo much more than Alpha Papa.

Chloe Grace Moretz is just scary though. That butterfly knife thing she did on some chat show recently? I'd figured they got a double to do it in the first film but nooo...

Not as great as the first but my it was entertaining, I have a somewhat inappropriate crush on Hit Girl - shes dreamy :p

Missed the end credits scene - so an excuse to see it again in a few weeks!

ps3ud0

I was sad when Hit Girl left - she is my favourite character in the films :(

I preferred the first one as i like it when Kick ass goes into a fight, screws up and Hit Girl saves him :p

And i also was disappointed they didnt find a way to bring Nicholas Cage back in as Big Daddy as that character was brilliant :D

not seen it yet but how close to the comics is this one ie the ending

does hit girl get arrested after a car chase scene letting kick ass and the others to escape

or do they f it up

Very average.

I didn't get bored but I couldn't help feeling the plot was far worse than the first and it felt like a cash in rather than a genuine sequel. Suppose that happens when you lose the original writer and director.

Saw it last night and thought it wasnt too bad, not as good as the first obviously but still a pretty decent sequel.

Although funny I thought it was pretty gruesome and often too close to the bone. I have no idea if it is meant to be like this in the comics, but honestly was quite disturbing how casually the extreme violence was portrayed.

Thought the first was much better.

Edit:
I mean the lawnmower scene for example...

And the casual swearing - don't get me wrong, I couldn't care less about it personally, however because of the nature of the film I'm surprised it isn't rated an 18.

6 or 7 out of 10.

I wonder if watching Kick-Ass yesterday, which is a 9/10 film for me, was a mistake.

I enjoyed 2 but it wasn't a patch on the original.

I'm of the exact same opinion

Kick Ass was a 9/10
Kick Ass 2 was a 6/10 at a push

Although I thought the film was entertaining; when its predecessor was so amazing it makes you that bit more disappointed if they don’t deliver a worthy sequel. I think there is a good opportunity for Kick Ass 3 to be amazing though.
(as long as Hit Girl comes back of course).

Although I just rated it a 6/10 that was purely on its entertainment factor which is probably a run over from the enjoyment of the first film. When I think back to it....the film really was quite shockingly bad
....
