Came here to rant after reading more about this disgraceful situation, but what's the point? We will hear about lessons learned and improvements to oversight and governance moving forwards but no one will ever be held accountable...

Do you believe that some Labour cabinet ministers were regularly being bribed and then passed the scheme on to Conservative cabinet ministers?

Well somebody was out to gain something. We would certain MPs push through the next payment of grant money despite their advisers saying no?

probably not because they were bribed - not that all politicians are stand up people but this is ludicrous...

so they've supposedly bribed some senior labour ministers and then they get kicked out of govt so they hand over the back hander scheme to their conservative replacement who happens to be a multi millionaire...

and of course the accounts are now all being looked through

it is just so retarded

because the world just doesn't work like that - you can no doubt employ some politicians as consultants for a fat daily rate but that hasn't happened here

May not be "bribes" but favours or you scratch my back etc.

Hell look at Fifa, Russia was a done deal before we blew millions on our bid.

So if somebody didnt gain from this is just a case of blatant incompetence and stupidity and they should resign as MPs then?

But we know that won't happen. We have huge numbers of cases of people in authority committing crimes or being utterly inept and receiving no punishment at all.

The MPs were given advice not to give the next payment to this sham of a company and they ignored it. I would be sacked if I made that decision in the private sector.

yes, but that is irrelevant and doesn't add anything to support the ct-nut style accusation that they were bribed with brown envelopes of cash
 
Well I said they either got something for it or they aren't fit for their post and incompetent. It's one or the other in my books.
 
I refuse to donate to charitys because nearly all of them are very shady with how stuff gets split up.

Try and find me someone who runs a charity who doesn't drive a brand new flash car.

Was more that it wouldn't surprise me at all rather than any suspicions of someone actually doing it.
