Kids!!

Going over the top usually is good to find out limits, but some people just brag about drinkin saying I can handle xxx amount of this xxx amount of that. They just think they are big and clever just because its alcohol.

some people in here need to go outside once in a while

i dont think theres a row of shops near me where there ISNT 16 year olds sat there drinking themselves into states :p

most 16yr olds will of drank or want to drink

atleast these 2 have learnt its not as great as it seems in a good way rather than falling asleep in a park and been brought home by the police

Just be glad it didn't happen at someone else's place and that you were there to make sure they were safe. If you need to speak to your daughter about it then just ask her not to do that sort of drunkenness somewhere else due to the dangers involved (probably even more so for young women).

I think people need to calm down a bit. 1 can of cider at 16 is absolutely nothing. My parents never made drinking alcohol a big deal and i've never had to hide any alcohol from them in the house. If i wanted beer for a party at 16/17, they would buy me a reasonable amount. My friends who had strict parents were usually the ones getting smashed senseless the second there was a free house for the night. As others have said, its better to find your limit at home with adults around than on a street corner with the fear that your life will end if your parents were to find you in that state.

Some of the members on this forum just really need to get a... ack...

The guy let two 16-year old girls have ONE can of Strongbow each, I was given wine when I was 13 ffs! It's attitudes like yours that contribute to how our kids view alcohol, no wonder Europe is way ahead of us in that regard.

THEY brought the white lightning, not him, and they will live and learn fast. FFS what is it in this day and age where we've become so bloody weak as a society where we start weeping when our kids are sick due to drinking too much cider...

May as well just scrap childhood nowadays, apparently it's not on to do stupid things and make mistakes, we'll just learn form books eh? I would seriously hate to be a child of some of you people, *shudders*

Mind you, I bet 95% of those judging thr OP don't even have kids anyway and are just doing the usual armchair parenting spiel.

Man speaketh the truth
