KILLER 1060 6G DEAL WITH 5YR WARRANTY: ONLY £218.99 Inc !!

1070ti due for release soon. you will see deals happen just before that. in fact there have already been some at competitors.

also the 1060 won't max out every game far from it. however you will be able to play every game with respectable settings. more demanding games run on medium. well optimised games run at ultra.

Yeah I hope the 1070ti brings the 1070 in to place I don't really wanna spend much above £300 but I really don't wanna be turning settings down on a new card either.

What I really want is a 1060ti lol.

the 1060 6GB is the ti.

1060 3Gb is non ti.

the 6gb version has more VRAM and more power. it only makes 5-10% difference though at best.

As far as we are aware theres not even any solid confirmation that the 1070ti is even coming. Based on the increased vega prices the price/performace ratio of the 1070 1080 and 1080ti has the mid to high performance already covered by nvidia.

Frankly if they squezzed a 1070 ti in around the 380 mark dropped to 1060 6gb deep into the 230 area and the 1070 standard at around 300 I think they would finish vega off.

1060 6Gb is already £240 this week.

1070 won't drop by as much as that. it will likely be around £40-£60 cheaper than the 1070ti. it all depends on what they price that at.

Likely there is an NDA in place so we won't know anything until it's released or announced officially by nvidia themselves.

£219 here and ends tomorrow where it will be back to £239.99

Sorry for another question just making sure I make the right choice.
If I went for a 1070 instead of this card would CPU restrict it and so i would be better staying with a 1060. The CPU can not be overclocked. is My rig is below....

Intel Core i5-4690 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail
Gigabyte Z97P-D3 Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 6Gbs 64MB Cache WD10EZEX - OEM ** Single Platter ** HDD
TeamGroup Vulcan RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLRED38G1600HC9DC01)

if your CPU did restrict a 1070 it would also restrict a 1060. games which are cpu intensive will restrict both. games which aren't will restrict neither. i think it's the 1080 and 1080ti your CPU would really struggle with.

you will be fine with a 1070 IMO. would it be working to it's maximum potential? no. however it won't ever be far off it.

And then if I went with the 1070 it would still be a decent card if I replaced my board/Cpu in say 12 months time (or longer)

of course the 1070 is overkill for 1080p gaming unless you have a 144-240hz monitor or play the most demanding of games. i wouldn#t bother with a cpu upgrade though until you really need to. CPU's haven't changed much in the past 8 years. all they are doing now is adding more cores and threads. if you don't need more cores there is zero need to upgrade. unless you have a sub 3.5 ghz cpu
