Killer Instinct

have they taken the humiliation and the ultimate finishes out of the game?

I'm sure ultimate finishes will be in the game, not sure about humiliation as it wasn't in KI2 or Gold.

I'm really looking forward to this game as I'm a big KI fan, this is the reason why I am buying an Xbox One. Not fussed about the other games.

Really petty but watching gameplay footage of this showing off the combos it doesn't say combo at the end, simply shouting "ulttrrraaaaa" instead of "ullltrraaa comboooo" just isn't the same for me :)

You might be watching videos of an older build because the latest build at Evo had combo added to the announcer shouts.

Here is the Glacius reveal video along with the tease for Chief Thunder:

Got chills when I seen that tomahawk =)

ps. Is the music in this a heavier remixed version of the original KI theme? It sounds like that to me.

Orchid and Cinder combos were easy. I think my favourite characters were Fulgore and Sabrewulf for combo's. Never ever managed an Ultimate but once you managed to bash an ultra combo a few times it got pretty easy.

From wiki....Sabrewulf is one dark character!

Count Von Sabrewulf is afflicted with lycanthropy and promised a cure by Ultratech if he wins the tournament. In the sequel, Sabrewulf was captured by Ultratech in the first tournament after being severely injured and has been driven mad by experimentation. With cybernetic arms, he desperately seeks a cure for his lycanthropy. Sabrewulf is a semi-cameo appearance by Sabreman (from Rare's 1984 game Sabre Wulf), who was originally called "Cyberwulf".[10] Sabrewulf fights in his inherited castle with biting and claw attacks and the ability to howl and use his flaming bats (although sometimes they do not flame). In the third installment, Sabrewulf has fallen to his ferral side compelling him to tear out his mechanical implants(human constructs) and regain his arms through Dark Arts. He also became addicted to drugs which he used to ease his pain during the process of regaining his arms.

The SNES version used to say "ULTRAAAAAA, ULTRaaaaaa, ultraaaaaaaa" ;)

Not trolling... But the new guilty gear game looks lush and I'm more excited about that than ki now.

But knowing Arc, we won't see the game for at least another year.

And that's if we are lucky. Could be in for another Persona 4 Arena incident.

Yeah Guilty Gear Xrd looks great, it'll be a while before we see that. Kidooka already said more information will be released about the game at E3 2014 so it may be 2015 or possibly even 2016 before we see the game.

They really such a small company and legal battles have stopped development on the IP for a while now. It's really best that they take their time than release a reskin older version or blazblue.

I really hate this freemium model as it just obstructs the game so much with advertising and pay walls. Either make a game that is good enough to be purchased up front or don't bother. Just be because technology can let you chop and game up and sell it piece by piece doesn't mean you should, bloody M$! Killer Instinct 2 rocked in the arcades back in the day, still looks pretty good!

...but you can buy the full game on release. The free version is optional.
