Killzone 2 Demo - First impressions

oops didnt see that :p spent most of the time tweaking the controls. I tried playing on the default but couldnt maneouvre freely enough and kept dying. But on these settings was much easier.

I think the AI is pretty good what do others think?

I cannot see what the hell that muppet from gamespot was going on about when he claimed the game had input delay. Yeah, aimings harder due to almost a complete lack of aim assist. Sounds to me like the guy just doesn't accept his 'leet skillz' are affected due to a lack of auto aim so blames it on a false flaw.

All in all, good first impression. Too short to draw any real conclusions from though. AI was impressive, the numpties never stood still and i never saw them behave the same on both playthroughs.

AI was very good. Ducked and moved around enough to give me the run around :)

Guy in this thread got some engineer to look at it and fixed problem by using a Scientific Atlanta Modem. I don't know the exact details.

He is probably one of those guys that likes to think he is cool by trying to be controversial. What a pile of fail.

54%/ :(

Me either, I assumed he meant the UBR's out in the street rather than a home router.

Apologies, I meant Modem. I assume all you guys use Virgin supplied modems and then some of you have been given Virgin branded routers or your own routers, for routing/wlan.

I think in some cases the modem is in the set top box, but I am not certain.

SHORTEST DEMO EVER! like 10 mins :o

seems pretty nice from what i played, its a very bare demo though. graphics are real nice, animations look good... the weapons seem pretty nice and i like the grenades. i think one of the settings in the options i bugged (hold to aim). its really easy to run as well which was a problem bfbc had so thats also good

there is noticeable input lag (aiming) which i noticed straight away and as such makes the game feel a bit unresponsive. i mean theres a way to make things feel weighted and this is actually unresponsive... i guess its something you get used to.

looking forward to this, dying to see the multiplayer!

I think multiplayer is going to be great for this...just running through the looping videos in the demo and wow, the attention to detail looks stunning, and as already mentioned, animations/physics look fantastic

Wonder if Ill win the slowest prize - though its between me, skippi, robert and lowrider I suppose...
