Killzone 2: QA Manager will investigate aiming lag in demo.

Seb Downie, QA Manager at Guerrilla Games has stated that he will look into the rumored controller/input/aiming lag that has split the Killzone 2 community in half.

Interesting read. I can see them putting out a patch. If enough people complain, they'll have to do something. Just like lair and its controls, not saying Killzone 2 has anything near as bad controls as lair.

what do you mean no cover?

No cover system. In single player you hold down L2 to take cover behind obstacles and the like. In multiplayer, it is simply crouch, no matter if you're behind cover or not. The developers felt it took away from the action. It is distinctly a singleplayer feature, and I felt the same way too during the multiplayer beta.
 
Guys, all this talk about aiming lag is pointless.

Anyone who played the first game (especially as much as I did) will realise that Killzone doesn't force you to aim quite as much as other games. Quite often, the gameplay is setup so you can shoot without needing to aim, which is why there is no auto aim and why aiming is not hold down as default.
 
True, COD set a standard with aiming so its hard not to compare to something as great as COD4.

edit: my headset arrived the other day as well so can I be added to the list please? Mic quality is much better than the PS Eye I was currently using. Though I think its been crashing COD4 on a few occasions, when I try and enter a private lobby my PS3 freezes. Anyone else had this?

What kind of reason is that. A fps that doesn't need precise and quick aiming?!
 
lol i have no doubt that everyone will get used to the delayed/weighted/input/whatever you want to call it aiming but its still a really pointless feature, proven by the amounts of complaints so far.

we'll see how everyone responds to this when MP is in the picture, against real people with more erractic movement rather than AI which generally stands still :)

also i think standard one is the way to go (i was alternate two before) with zoom hold off. its the setup which makes most sense considering the placement of the crouch button whcih you cant change. unless your one of those weird people who finds it comfortable with 2 fingers one one side of triggers :o

ive played the sp demo like 10 times now and seriously cant wait, i think im gonna jump straight in to MP :D

i think what he means is that because u can line the shot up whilst under cover, u will use the zoom function less.

i look at this aiming lag as a bonus. perhaps i wont get completely owned in mp. :D

Seriously, i do have stubby hands so i guess that's why i can do that comfortably and also is why i find the 360 pad a pain due to being MASSIVE in my baby-hands.
 
dunno maybe its me thats weird hehe! when i do that it feels like i dont have enough grip on the pad and it might slide around :o
 
Some people already have their copies. Don't bother trying to buy them in auction as they're going for way too much right now. :eek:
