Killzone 3 Beta News

I didnt realise the actual MP was up when I played yesterday night - was only playing a botmatch - gfx it looks superb, a bit too good as its a bugger to spot people sometimes...

I do think the FOV needs to be increased as it does feel claustrophobic at times...

Played the operations mode tonight and quite liked it but is someone what hard for the ISA, easy for the helgast to camp at 1 point we were camped into our only spawn and most of those in my team left so it was me against 4 spawn campers, was still able to plant 1 of the bombs, i like the cutscenese and gives a sense of accomplishment when u do they whole thing, get a nice little cutscene.
 
Looks like we'll have to miss the scheduled KZ3 beta event tonight, thanks to another evening of PSN maintenance.
I guess I'll be playing Fallout NV instead tonight.

well thats a bit of a downer was looking foward to more people joining tonight and doing some warzone and operations :(

i have fully opened medic last night , the ability you get when you get your medic bot is ace you can get injected to come back to life and full ammo .
shame the only person that click on to it was you dinakin seen how you put me out of my misserie so i could not spawn where i died :eek: i will get you back soon :p;)
 
Stella - got home from a 3 day break to find my beta key waiting for me - look forward to reviving some KZ2 multiplayer on the beta with you and Dinakin. Message me if you are on.
 
Squadding system seems borked for now, we could only get 2 out of 3 into the same game at once last night, which was annoying.
In the end Dinakin managed to get into the same game as us on the other side though, so it was still good fun.
I need to unlock more stuff atm, I've got 2 unlock points in the bank, just need to get a third to unlock the upgrade for my aerial bot.
I need a better gun tbh, but for now I'll lump for the stock one.
 
I had to squander 3 pts just to get the smg and pistol on my saboteur/infiltraitor as i seriously disliked the shotgun. Need 1 more pt for ethier the last disguise ( melee kill without losing disguise ) or for the laying down/disarming the objectives 50% faster
 
If anyone wants to play this tonight they are going to have to be signed into psn before 4pm today due to maintenance last till 2am :)
lets just hope i dont get signed out in them hours or i will have to do some single player games :(
 
Bloody game, 2nd time it has froze my system, last night and just now, each time i had about 4000pts halfway thru the game, but this time all my kills were from melee since i unlocked the 3 infiltraitor disguise which allows me to kill with melee and not loose my disguise. Had a 7 kill streak from melee.

Hmm might have to sign up for plus now then. Loved the first game both sp and mp. Be good to play with you lot again as well.
 
Wow, might just had to sign up to get my hands on it! My mate has had it for a few days now but haven't been able to get the chance to try it round his yet.

What do the KZ2 lot think about it?

i have enjoyed what i managed to play before moving i managed to get my medic fully opened up and started engineer .
Offline for a few weeks at least now though there is virtually no input lag and some of the best graphics on a console to date ,cannot wait till next year till its released .

Played black ops in 3d the other night so killzone 3 should be the shizzle with move and 3D support :D
 
Played it for a while, will get back to it soon, it feels differnt to KZ2 some people dont like it, I personally think it feels better. You have less health than before and a few shots kill, but firefights seem better for this. The classes are unlocked at the start and you earn XP for points that can be used to unlock weapons and abilites. The nade launcher and RPG have been toned down and have less ammo, also they are a secondry weapon. The sab class is overpowered IMO as you can rank up your camo so bots dont detect you and melee kills dont break your disguise. Not a great fan of the Mechs TBH seem a bit of a pain to kill until you unlock decent weapons or RPG sentry turrets. Spawn times are a bit to short, as medic you dont get much chance to revive. Some of the new stuff is very cool, love the medi-bot, its a kind of personal sentry bot that hovers near you and shoots at the enemy. Once leveled up it can do an auto revive so if you die you can chose to respawn at the exact spot you got killed, useful for sneaking up on the git who killed you. Anyway better leave it to guys to try and play it yourself, to me its 10X more fun than CODBLOPS.
 
Sounds good. Less life and less shots to kill sounds more like bf2 then more modern fps which is nice. Have to get eroglik to get the beta as well. Be most of us playing it again then.
 
Finally downloaded the beta today (terrible internet at the moment). So up for a game at some point the weekend. Just need to fine one of the many headsets I have around here:o
 
Wasn't a playstation plus member, i am now, KZ3 on the way

Just had a quick go with bots, wow, gfx are a bit special, controls are nice and responsive.

Cant wait to have a go online when i wake up tomoro :)
