Killzone 3(maybe official thread?)

Sorry I've not been on the last couple of days, had various things going on i.e. sick children, having my cast off...

Will try to get on later to sort out invites.
 
I've been playing MP a fair bit. Currently running around as a Medic. I try to resus other players if I can get to them, but I normally get shot down myself. Although, I have a perk that allows me to get back up at the end of the timer. People don't expect it when someone they've just downed gets up, shoots them, then resuscitates a team mate.

I have no one to play with. Can I join you guys?

yo anyone had any problems setting up the move with sharpshooter as it took me a hour or so get good with accuracy but not perfect yet but its so much fun with killzone

Dunno whether I wanna get it now, I had so many problems with the PS3 move originally!
 
hopefully you will join up again soon there will be more in this the more pepole we have numbers count , shame you were doing so well before you left and as a group we work and destroyed the opposition .

I'll be back on today. I was proper raging when I got disconnected. The game I was in was the only game i'd managed to positive on my k/d ratio since starting playing it:(:mad:

Playing as a Medic with the LMG really worked for me. That LMG is much better than the SMG you start with.

I haver put up a post about the problems in this game and they are looking at them. A dev has replied and hopefully they're going to put in a country specific filter.
 
I get the feeling everyone is a higher level than me and it will take ages to level up? Do you start out at a major disadvantage? Rubbish guns and perks?
 
And I shoot at some range with an smg and I get hit markers and hit markers and nothing happens, if the range is too great why give hit markers at all?
 
Also spawn killing is ridiculous especially on that level with multiple levels and the snow, also you can't see anything because of the screen going bright and dark.
 
Just as I expected. Hate it. For some reason, the demo was great but can't get a kill in this at all. Can't even be arsed to play single player either.

What have they done to this class? I find them almost useless compared to killzone 2:

You have to be closer to heal your target than KZ2 = easy death

Where are the heal packs? Yes the auras ok but I prefer the HP packs as could through them and drop back to a safe distance, they healed single solider person faster.

The chance to self revive is nice but when you have your bot out and it explodes kills you when your down so its almost useless.
 
Love this game, you get killed from nowhere and bullets don't kill.

This sums up my experience so far, only bought it yesterday and spent a couple of hours on it. Tbh i'm pretty poor at FPS with a pad but i'll stick with it as this game really appeals. I was getting annihilated and hovered around the bottom 3 on the scoreboard!

What is the best class to start with?
 
After posting my comments about the game on killzone3 forums a developer replied and linked this: Source looks like they will be fixing the medic range and healing cooldown thank god!

Through your testing, feedback and comments, Killzone 3 is shaping up to be a fantastic multiplayer experience and we have you all to thank. We've already managed to address several key issues, such as server stability, network errors, etc.


What we'd like to do is give you guys some idea of how your hard work has paid off on parts of the game you've commented on, but haven't seen a patch for in the open beta. We've received a tremendous amount feedback from all of you, some of it obviously in favor of specific changes, while some other feedback was split down the middle. To compensate for the split feedback, we've looked at information and statistics we've been collecting while you've been playing on the server. Below you'll find a list of some of the most talked about points during beta, and what we plan to do to address these specific issues.


* A fix to the "Your Faction Has Won/Lost" issue, along with all oddities that resulted from this occurring
* An issue that allowed more than two clans to join a clan match will be fixed
* Increased Accuracy, Bullet Damage and Faster Reload Ribbons will update correctly on personal statistics screens
* We've simplified the process to invite players into your game (just one button press)
* The radius of the Marksman's Scramble++ has been lowered
* Medic's Revive distance increased and cooldown to re-use is decreased
* No collision on mortally wounded player bodies
* Increased player stamina
* An icon will be shown in the menu when you have a Killzone 3 message in your inbox

Shortly after the game's release, you'll also see these changes patched in:


* Support for color-blind players
* Implement unranked custom games for players to create private or clan matches
* Enhanced custom games functionality that will allow players to:
o Control over games modes and settings
o Secure games, allowing you to invite the players you want to play with
o The ability to prevent abilities and weapons from being used
o Toggling on and off functionality, such as ribbons, skills, explosives, etc.
o Selecting which careers you want available to players
o Allow friendly fire to be turned on or off
o Faction switching enabled or disabled
* The Clan Officer role will be added to clans
* Separate turn speeds for hip-fire and ADS
* Overly enthusiastic death screams will be toned down
* Increased the amount of kills required to win a Guerrilla Warfare match
* Increased Accuracy ribbon will have its effectiveness lowered
* Likewise, the Bullet Damage ribbon will have its effectiveness lowered as well
* Matches will end if the other team forfeits (i.e. too few, or no players on the enemy team)
* Matchmaking enhancements that will close and merge games based on player count, which will keep games more full
* Balance factions out by moving players to the other team at the end of the match if one team is lopsided
* The ability to turn off HUD markers for point pop-ups and objectives
* A menu option to allow squad-only chat
* The addition of a Mute All button
* Scoreboard flickering will be fixed
* Clans will no longer get matched against other clans that have many more players than they do (i.e. 4 vs. 7, 5 vs. 8)

And that list is just the beginning. As we release our patches you'll get a full list of everything we've updated in a patch list, which is much more than what we've listed above.

I have the marksman on level 2 invisibility perk which is supposed to make you invisible when not firing and standing still. everyone still seems to see you even at long range, WTF?
 
Maybe they can still pick up your name if theyve crosshaired you?

@ak22 - lets hope they make the Medic better - Im not optimistic as I think they wont make the revive skill distant enough to make it matter (can be <10m away) - just dont be a traitor and join the other team ;):p
