Killzone Shadow Fall (PS4) **SP & MP Discussion**

You don't need to get all the way up on those gravity vapour things, they normally just take you to a ledge where you carry on. That level has quite a few of them if I remember correctly. Just look for the big machine with red lasers at the top. Should be little flying robots holding canisters flying around it.

Is anyone playing the MP of this? Ive played it a bit and it really seems pretty easy to dominate if you have a decent squad of players. Love the lack of auto aim as I can tell how rubbish some are without it...

What does worry me is that no one appears to chat in the game unless theres some wierd default I need to remove...

Anyone know what's in the new update?

Usually after updating you can go to the game on the home screen, press the option button and then Update History. Assuming the devs have told Sony or they updated it (I don't fully know how it works, maybe it comes with the patch) it should be there :)

edit: Updated it to see what it was, just says
- Improved network reliability
- Crash fixes

I play online now and then, I'm sure I added you... maybe I didn't, or I did and you removed me! Not like I can remember, since the PS4 came out my friends list jumped up by 30 people or so just from OcUK so it's kinda hard to track XD Which brings the point up, I'd like a filter system so I know who is who or who came from where etc.

As to game chat, I am sure that by default it's turned off :\

Yeah thanks, that's a nice little feature to let us know the update history.

I wouldnt have if its since the PS4 dropped - only remove people on the PS3 due to the 100 friends limit. Im up for some games for sure, seems far easier FPS compared to BF4 - just needs ome decent teamwork to dominate - pretty much what happened in previous KZ MPs...

Started this up again yesterday and have just completed chapter 9. Not going to spoil anything but it took me a number of attempts to complete the final fight as I had the Owl setup wrong on first encounter. For reference don't set it up as a shield as it is useless for this part. The delay in recall and trying to stun, coupled with a lack of adrenaline caused many an outburst! :o

EDIT: Sorry I mean half way through Chapter 9. I have just checked and I havn't completed the second bit yet which looks even more frustrating.

Interestingly the massive fight at the end of chapter 7 only took me two attempts. The first time I died because I didn't notice the shielded enemies coming up the platform. I found the best weapon for this segment is the large RPG like energy gun. It can take out the shielded enemies in two hits and every other enemy in a single shot. Ammo is plentiful on the rack directly behind you. I also found it VERY benefitial to start the battle by laying down every trip mine available - preventing the enemies from getting onto the platform you are defending. (I can't remember if I am playing on Hard or Normal so the amount of shots may vary).

The turret section was a pain but as long as you remember the enemies coming up onto the platform it isn't TOO bad.

Overall I am enjoying the game (after a break) but I can't see myself replaying it again.

Sorry to quote myself but I finally got round to completing this last night. I encountered a possible save bug which meant I had to replay the fight agains the annoying bloke in chapter 9. It was quite amusing though as I "lost" him at one point. Killed him in one try this time as I knew what to expect.

The final sections are a little anticlimatic but some of the visuals are simply stunning. Lucikly they allow you access to the awesome energy weapon again (I really should remember what this is called). This made short work of the shielded enemies.

The last "bonus" level was a bit of a pain as I was trying to rush it. Once I slowed down and took my time it was quite easy.

Overall I am massively impressed by how this games looks and runs (no hint of slow down) but ultimately it suffers from a lack of direction in the latter stages (both figuratively and literally - the objective pointers can get easily lost into the background).

Contrary to what I said above, I can see myself replaying it on a higher difficulty level.

Just got this today and loving MP. Much more enjoyable than COD. I needed an alternative fps to battlefield all the time.

I should be around for some mp action tonight assuming I can get what I need doing tonight done! Maybe make an open party so anyone can join when they want, saves on spamming out invites!

What an absolutely inane decision to have voice chat off as a default - was on today and switched it on and all I heard was silence. I need some people off here on because tbh the standard of squad play in KZ isnt great - its like slightly more intelligent TF bots...

This game really shows who can aim for the head and not just rely on aim assist. Ive enjoyed what Ive played so far - only problem I have is when I run out of bullets!
