Kilometres and kg

This is almost accurate. The temperature thing needs changing though.

Temperature
If it's cold, icy and snowy outside - Degrees centigrade
If it's the middle of summer - Degrees Fahrenheit so you can work out how warm it actually is :D

The rest is pretty damn good though. I like the Volume tree very much.

My previous Mazda 6 displayed fuel efficiency in L/100km
My 2013 Mazda 6 shows fuel efficiency in mpg. I think it's selectable.

I do everything in metric these days. Mainly because my wife is Polish and she doesn't understand imperial.
The system in the UK really is stupid at the moment. I wish we would just make a decision on one system or the other.

We buy fuel in litres but measure fuel economy in miles per gallon.......etc.

I do heights and weights of people in imperial, everything else is metric.

I do find imperial is more natural for people. That could just be my age, rather than an objective view.

Same goes for measuring by eye. I estimate measurements in inches and feet, and can't do that with cm.

As long as we don't move to a cup based system for cooking like Americans I am fine.

Does make sense to measure everything in metric though. Only reason we don't is because so much of society is already built around imperial.

I was taught both systems in the 1970s and the metric system was always far simpler to understand and use.

Living in a metric country, I only ever use Imperial measurements when talking to other Brits abut old British and American vehicles as even the old fossils use metric in their daily lives here.

The French do understand ounces for cooking measures and a lot of the pipe fittings still use British Standard Pipe sizes, though they often have a Metric-ish size on them as well.

1/2” BSP = 15/21mm

Running is a special case, since 5K and 10K are recognised competitive running distances. Same as saying 'Half-marathon' instead of 13.1 Miles or 21 Km.
