So 13 days ago i sold my RTX 2080 Ti for £800 to a dude on a selling site with zero fees or postage.

After yesterdays show, the 3070 is better at only £469 with far superior raytracing.

Anyone else got lucky selling theirs before they're now not even worth £500?

There's a 2nd hand retailer that may be slow in updating their purchase prices. If I still had one of those cards, I'd be running down the highstreet today with it.

Sonic Boom. Major result. Anyone left owning a 2080ti who only has eyes for its value has had their day. Yes its as good as it ever was. But damn that's some depreciation

Understandable, but I'm concerned about the gap between selling and getting another card - availability could be a **** show again. Also, the number of cards on eBay over the next few weeks might make it better to wait if planning to auction it.

Yes but don't forget that the 3070 isn't available yet. It will be some time before the all the makes of product hit the market, reviews are done, and problems worked out. He has several months of great game-play while you sit twiddling your thumbs waiting!

I paid £750 about 6 weeks ago. I knew the new cards were coming but my Vega died and I wanted to play FS2020. The way I see it, the depreciation is high but I'll have had the use of it for that time. Unless RT becomes significantly more important in the next couple of years I probably won't upgrade until the next round. I run at 3440 ultra wide so I'm probably good for a while anyway.

I'd rather be doing what i'm doing playing Xbox One X and "twiddling my thumbs" than being 300-400 down in a matter of only 4 weeks.

But hey if you have 300-400 to throw away, good for you.

I bought a 2080 Ti a few weeks back for £700 xD

I'll just throw it in a second PC, most likely give it to my son. Will keep him gaming for years.

I am getting the EVGA 3080 Hybrid soon as they are available, 240 RAD. Looks like a cool quiet monster.

Just looked on a selling site and they're still selling for £700. i guess some people still are not clued up about the 30 series
£200 got wiped off the value of TI cards on ebay overnight. Thats pretty good for ebay selling. I would expect it to reduce much further over the weekend.

Tricky time to sell them tbh, selling too high and you run the risk of the buyer regretting the decision and returning it. Plus they would able to return the card after the 3080 launch if they wanted to due to ebay policy.

People have been buying 1080 Tis on there for well over £400 for most of the year, despite being able to pick up a brand new 2070 Super for £50 more. There might be a crash in prices right now as Turing owners panic and flood the market trying to offload their cards, but I wouldn't be surprised if prices went back up after that. I'd still expect 2080 Tis to be going for well over £400 six months from now. And that's if the promise of the 3070 being slightly faster across the board is actually true.
