I assume there is a kindle fire thread somewhere but after a search i cannot seem to find one.

When is the Kindle Fire being released in the UK?

And if there is not already a thread,

Will you be buying one?

I personally won't buy any tablet until they have the ability to switch between e-ink and LCD display. My Kindle should arrive today, will use that one in the meantime to read books and webpages from.

I'm interested in the silk browser, but TBH I don't think I could go down to a 7" display after having my ipad, might as well just get a 4.3" smart phone instead.

I do like the look of the Fire though and I'm not a Apple fanboi in the slightest (I actually think there stuff is very over hyped), but I think I will get an iPad 3 come March. They are just so ahead in the tablet wars its unreal.

It will only be available in the US from 15/11. Given that it will have access to the US store I doubt very much whether we will see it in the near future.
