Anyone watching The F word?

Seen the size of these things, grow upto 6ft wide  and apparently is the best crab meat to eat, not only that they are killing the local fish population in Norway so are being hunted by humans as they have no natural enemies..

The red king crab, Paralithodes camtschaticus, is the most coveted commercially sold king crab and is the most expensive per unit weight. It is very large, sometimes reaching a carapace width of 11 in (28 cm) and a leg span of 6 ft (1.8 m) [2]. It is most commonly caught in Bristol Bay and Norton Sound, Alaska, and is particularly difficult to catch, but is nonetheless the most preferred crab for consumption and has been said to be tastier than lobster

Now any restraunts serve a whole one of them?

I think hunting for Alaskan King Crab is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world... saw a program on discovery for it... the crew members can make like £5k in under a month.

Just occured to me that I've never really eaten crab. Had squid, crocodile meat and the like but never crab. What does it taste like, chicken? ;)

To me it tastes like what I would imagine the colour "grey" to taste of, with a strange texture. Not really worth trying again tbh.

Holy crap what a coincidence, I just wikied them after seeing them on the F word.

They look so damn eevvvil. They look like the face huggers from Alien or the Black Headcrabs from HL2 or something.

Yeah, its a show called 'Deadliest Catch' I think its shot in the Bering Sea. Very dodgy occupation with the weather conditions there.
