Techpowerup performance benchmarks for KCD2 :)

Couple of hours in now seems fun but, very slow and clunky. It's just watching cut screens so far

Experimental kills fps. I get 110fps at 4k with ultra settings, but only 65fps with experimental settings DLSS Preset F (K doesn't work). I can't tell any difference in visual quality between the two, but my eyes aren't as keen as some others on these forums.

Do HDR through the Nvidia app. No frame gen either, let alone MFG, which seems daft given it's a single player game. I suspect it's unfinished and these may be added at a later date.

Incidentally there's loads of mods available already on nexus and a couple of reshades.

Also the game is using really old DLSS dll (v3.7), so you might want to slot in the latest 310.2

How do you know K doesn't work? How about J? Those are fornthe new DLSS model. F would be for the CNN model I think?

Because on my screen it shows data as to the model loaded (I'm not sure how think it might be from the version of NVProfile inspector I'm using) and it will only show Preset F being used, no matter what higher letter I choose, whereas all other games shows Preset K being used

Mine shows K :D

I'm surprised they think the game just looks good (and no better than the Witcher 3) and that those poor-performing Unreal engine games look much better. Yes some of the character models aren't great (while some are really good), but other than that it looks absolutely brilliant to me.

Oh i agree, its an absolutely beautiful looking game.

I really am so impressed, it's like we have gone back in time where when the game is released its actually a finished product. I really do wish it was like this all the time from all developers.

Main thing that experimental does, is basically disable LoDs. So all vegetation is fully loaded. But since the LoDs are well handled on ultra, it is not a huge difference and you can only really see it in very far distance.

Jesus this is just **** so far. Had to stop as I instantly disliked the characters and couldn’t be bothered once you were forced to feed your dog by asking for a sausage, then having to play easily the worst dice game to win an item I don’t give a **** about to trade for said sausage to feed the dog I don’t give a **** about.

Graphics are nice though

Read some reviews and the entire premise is laughably childish. The usual plot device to give your character amnesia and forget absolutely everything they learned in the first game.

Will persevere to see if I can get over these gripes.
