1280x800. 45FPS (90hz) sso far so good, but that's just in some little village. mostly low settings apart from medium on vegetation, characters and textures (last one might need changing soon) I'm sure it will get worse but it's promising,....

It's fantastic.. yes there is some QoL features missing from KCD1 but if you like the 2nd so far i really recommend dropping it and giving the first a go if you haven't. You have potentially another 60+ hour game to enjoy before KCD2 and there is references and understanding you will get from the first that are in the 2nd which just makes the dialogue and stories even better. I am not sure how Metacritic works but yes KCD 1 was a buggy mess when it was released but now yes there is still some bugs but it feels polished, not to the KCD2 extent but got to remember they didn't have the funding or amount of staff they have now.

It is often on steam for sale where you can pick up the game and all DLC for £5.

I have barely scratched the surface of this game but i am already looking forward to the DLC. In KCD 1 all DLC's were fantastic and easily added another 20+ hours to the game combined.

The issue is time. Not enough time to play everything these days...
 
The thieving system is so borked..

Stole some stuff, murdered some peeps, hid the bodies. Then someone was looking for me! So I went into a house, dumped all my stolen stuff in a chest so I had nothing that was stolen.

Guard assumes it was me, tells me to hand all my stuff over, which I didn't have anything. Still puts me in the stock for the stolen stuff :cry:

it seems like they've tried to add too much to the system... being new in town, being suspicious generally etc.. and it sounds like it will need tweaking a bit. maybe too ambitious?

I mean, to be fair, you were guilty, sounds like good intuition by the Guard, probably should promote him :D

Gonna do fresh Win11 OS install for this - not done one of those for over a decade!

Might as well through in a new SSD and GPU while I'm at it. :cry:
