Kingston SSD Deal. Very sweet!!

got one before 12:00,my samsung 830 "die" on me after a month,hope that one won't follow his steps.
pity you haven't got 256 in such good offers,I found 120 gig a bit small
 
guys, would i get any benefit from getting raid0 ing two of these babies together? seems like its the cheaper way to obtain the 240Gb capacity im after.

Of course it will be faster (whether you'll 'feel' the difference depends on what you do) and if you don't mind loosing TRIM then it's cost effective way of getting to 240GB.
 
just ordered one for monday/tuesday .. had a 30gb agility before and wasn't big enough so been waiting for something like this :) hope its worth it!
 
Thanks guys, mine arrived Monday. My granddaughter opened the package (aged 3) and guess what fell out? Yes one packet of Haribo's, then all hell broke out, my other grandchildren (5 of them) tried to find their packet. Anyway Aldi saved the day....

Oh, and this drive is rapid.....

Just had my delivery. Haribo for breakfast = win :D
Just about to clone my boot drive over because I don't have time for a fresh install, will probably do that in about a months time.

Edit: Ok...... just spent an hour+ trying to sort out how to clone a disk and it just doesn't want to let me... So I guess I have to wait until I can do a fresh install! :(

But here's a bench of my WD Black and the V+200, both on SATA2.

Don't know mate i have an Intel chipset so the update worked like a charm, all i can really suggest is perhaps you have another rig around or ask a friend with an Intel chipset you can connect the drive to to update the firmware.
