Please forgive my ignorance if i have missed something, but why have you got a double socket on the wall behind your hob?

Surely the place for it to be would be on the wall to the left or right of the hob, that way it wont be affected by cooking moistures?

The hod isn't there that just the oven. I have a hob with extractor on the other worktop.

I am getting another 50cm unit to go the otherside of the oven so all that area will be work top. Which is on my shopping list
