Having read the rest of the thread, 6 months or so in jail is more than I expected to see from this, but still not really fitting for the crime imo. But then I'm a right softie for animals, the things that i imagine must be going through a poor cat or dog's mind when they are treated badly really upsets and angers me!

I'm not offended. :)

In context though my empathy went out the window for her because of her actions.

You're the only person to point out that it was an ironic statement though. :eek:
 
What interests me is that human's value their own lives over other species. This is a point that I find interesting in my research work on manufacturing for the environment - how we do anything to better our own lives at almost any cost.

In this instance, eye for an eye imo. Put the low life who did it in a microwave.

Totally agree that most of us would not empathise with her and anyone that does is a freak though!
 
I'm quite known for my outbursts of rage when "things don't go right", thankfully it's only ever been on inanimate objects like the garage floor, the bedroom door, the phone or the car :D

However I think if I came into the kitchen to find my cat bubbling away in the microwave you would want to be taking the next spaceship to Mars..
Words cannot describe the amount of lid I would flip over it!

I do hope someone plays hide the soap with her... but maybe with razor blades or something ARRGGH (insert rageguy.jpg)

I would like to preface this post by fully acknowledging that Im a complete sociopath when it comes to the perpetrators of animal cruelty. I wouldnt care if she stabbed another human or something like that.

That said, I hope the bitch gets shanked and eviscerated in prison for microwaving that kitten. I really do.

According to some people on here though, it's all very defensible and nothing wrong with it. Mainly centring on "no problem, it's not human".

Total lack of respect/value for life.

To be fair, the above indicates she's mentally ill & perhaps should never have been given care of an animal to begin with.

But obviously wishing death & pain on the mentally ill is perfectly fine so I'll step back & let the idiocy flow.
 
Showing a picture of the poor thing is a step too far IMO :(.

It's disgusting that this stuff is still happening, mentally unstable or not, she still deserves a slap and shouldn't have had the opportunity to do this in the first place.

Absolutely sickening.
