Knuckle Tattoos.

I've seen some ring tattoos and they look quite good ,and obviously can be covered easily.

Now that you mention that I have a friend who got married to his wife and they decided to get wedding ring tattoos, been together for 12 years now.

I remember being tasked to go and see quite a local character who was well known to police and had his nickname tattooed on his forehead.

I knocked on the door when he answered. ' Morning ****y ' I said.

' How the **** do you know me name ? ' he asks.

' Because it's tattooed on your forehead. ' I said.

Strange fellow.

I lol'd you should make a thread with funny police callouts documenting your weirdest experiences.

I have often thought about that Sash but it could be frowned upon.

A detective from West Mercia police recently got carpeted for having a blog about such things although some of his comments were out of line I have to say. The blog has been removed since.

Not something I would ever get done. Any tattoo I get would need to be easily hidden just in case there was a situation which called for them not being on display.

Are you talking about words on the knuckles? or a pattern of some sort?

hand/neck/face tattoos should only be gotton when you have either a solid career doing something where tattoos etc are completely allowed, and even then with restraint, I mean having a job "now" that allows them is all well and good but what if you don't have it forever?

When i get my right arm finished, i want my knuckles done.!
I think they look awesome when done right, none on the ex-con style ones :p

I know a lot of places won't touch the face/neck/hands without strong justification; reputation can easily make or break a studio.

But that said, some parlours will do anything if the cash is provided.

My personal opinion is that I would like to be able to cover my tattoos up if a situation arose where I wished to e.g. A buxom pinup might not be appreciated if on display at a funeral or a new career/job which might not wish to have your latest piece floating around their office for all the see.

Tattoo threads will always generate the standard love and hate comments respectively. Ultimately, a tattoo is such a personal 'item' that it doesn't really matter what anybody else thinks, but it's just worth addressing every potential eventuality.

Hindsight is a double edged sword :)
