Korean Grand Prix 2013, Yeongam - Race 14/19

Hamilton told he needs to go to the end of the race on these tyres.

Riiiiiiiight....

TO be fair if he drops 2-3 seconds back and goes at a slower pace it's possible. I personally think this safety car would have screwed him anyway, but he absolutely should have pitted 6 laps earlier and been on a three stop... actually had he done that and everyone else pitted he would have ended up first on the safety car... so who knows what would have happened.

Not sure how many cars can go to the end depending on time behind safety car, but Merc are the least likely to be able to.

i suppose you have to try to be conservative now, or you could risk it knowing you cant, definitely dont want to be marginal now

the backmarker rule is terrible

If i was a driver I would be on the radio most races not saying "these tyres are ****" but that "Pirelli tyres are ****" See how they and the FIA/FOM enjoy that brand value

Typically the Safety car has been out 4 laps too long.

I could have easily cleared that carcass and debri in a two laps.

Safety car is there to save Pirelli from more embarrassment.

Ricciardo and Webber both on super soft tyres.
Ricciardo has new ones.
Webber has used ones.

Ricciardo had to use softs didn't he, so thats understandable... but Webber, wtf were RBR thinking?

They didn't have ANY primes, so they put on used softs? Surely they only used one set of primes in qualifying and either 2 or 3 sets of softs in quali... he's used 2 sets of primes in the race, one got a puncture, surely that leaves at least one used set of primes from Q1?
