Korean Grand Prix 2013, Yeongam - Race 14/19

I dont think that the boo-boys hate Vettel.
It's that many people want a different winner.
In many people's minds, Vettel has won the title already, with many races to go.
Apart from his fans, who wants to see Vettel winning race after race, championship after championship, with consummate ease?

May have missed the point here so apologies if so, but I am a Vettel fan and while it is good to see him win races, for the interest of the whole sport, the championship etc I would prefer to see it much closer than it is

I appreciate I am probably a minority here.

Really? Given the complete unknowns buying their way into F1 with massive bank balances, signing Massa who actually can drive an F1 car ans qualifies for a super licence on more than just demo runs would be a welcome relief.

If massa does come over the best outcome would be seeing him overtake alonso.
But in general I would rather they take a risk on NH than a safe steady like massa

I don't really have an issue with vet, I accept he's going to win in the best car and just see the race for second as the race
I don't think they are cheating, and if they are they are doing it well. It's the fias job to stop that

Well Hamilton ahead of vet in both practice. Merc seem to be the team who get closest over 1 lap. If only they could translate it to race pace.

Equally, I'm not a Vettel fan but nor do I hate him – I just want to see more competition in the sport.

Unfortunately there isn't any and he is the one benefitting from it. As such, it's only natural that he becomes the target when venting that frustration.

As Skeeter has said many times; I wish everyone else was better, not that RBR/Vettel were worse or suffer from crashes and technical failures.

As do i
Last thing I want is bias in the rules

He's just not a likeable character at all. Reminds me of Hamilton before he moved to Mercedes i couldn't stand the guy now i like him quite a lot. The finger really gets to me especially when we know it's the car not him.

I don't understand why people 'hate' him, it really troubles me that people would say such a thing.
OK, he is dominating the championship, he broke the team code (multi21) which wasn't his best move in the world i'll agree with that but the talent and determination is staggering.

The facts that I love about this guy is that from such an early stage he was winning races (torro roso) and has made himself into a household name. This kid is 26...
He puts in extremely long hours with the crew and is studying for an engineering degree right now. The passion he has is incredible.
The 'finger' is just a gimmick that every champion has but why it annoys people...seriously?

I'm a vettle fan and I don't mind hearing the criticism about him but try to add some weight to your arguments instead of I don't like his finger or he's winning to much...

studying for a degree as well as racing? Source? That's interesting.

You always think that I hope you've not got a fixation with Lewis like smr! I just hope they sort out the pit board this time.
He did ask for the angle of the board to be better but they forgot :(

I always think it because it's true! :p I actually really admire Hamilton, just wish he would cheer up a bit sometimes. Always seems like someone has kidnapped his dog or something until he does media interviews! :p

LMAO

Did anyone else catch Whitmarsh on the F1 show saying he slept with Horner last night? Horner looked so embarassed. :D

Watching the replay of this mornings practice and they were just talking about McLaren testing parts for this year and parts for next year.

I just don't see the point in throwing time and money at this years car.

They aren't... they're parts for next year's car which may happen to improve performance on this year's car.

I think he's always very polite in interviews and has a good sense of fun and humour. I'm no Vettel fan and am not hoping he wins the WDC even though he will, but I fail to see what's unlikeable about him. I find it funny when he does his predictable finger, and I like it when he strokes his car. :D Anything that might be unlikeable about his personality like ocassionally throwing his toys out or coming across as a bit arrogant or over confident is probably what it takes to to put him in the mindset of winning, and it's obviously working. If you want to talk unlikeable, then there's Kimi. Funny as he can be with his short temper, he really is a dull, contemptuous and rude twit who apparently has time for no one.
