Korean street food - ham cheese egg toast

That’s a lot of water :p

You’ve way diluted it but it’ll give you an idea.

Too much water? Ah, I wasn't sure myself if it should be that watery.
Still, it said add contents to 550ml of boiling water and cook for 4 and a half minutes which is exactly what I did.

Delicious and yep, pretty hot! First taste of the soup made me cough. :p I enjoy that amount of heat. Almost got a sweat on. Not sure I could go much hotter though!

does the instruction say boil with the water?

I thought you boil with water, then remove most of the water then add the spice packet to mix.

but you get the idea, that’s pretty much the standard heat in things you see that’s red in colour. It’s quite a kick and most westerners would not expect it.

The instructions just says "Add noodles and contents to 550 ml of boiling water and cook for 4 and a half minutes." Doesn't mention removing water which I must admit I was wondering about. So I kept it boiling. Ate the noodles with chopsticks and then the soup with a spoon.

But yeah, I saw one YouTube video where the instructions were like you described and another with the same instructions as mine. Definitely has a kick! I'll buy again and drain off some of the water. Even saw it in pots in the shop.

Raymond, if you get a moment, could you pop your head in the photography forum. There's a noob thread I made that you might be able to help me with as no-one is really answering.

Love Korean BBQ, kimchi sauce and pickles, many types of instant noodles, they also have some awesome crisps, snacks and sweets. That sandwich looks great too but I'd rather have some local food.

Luckily got loads of Korean stores and restaurants nearby me due to it being the largest Korean population in the UK.

I don't always add water to instant noodles and have it like a soup, I often will drain water and add sachets after, but I think it's fine to have it whatever way you want, except for some do tell you do drain all water on instructions.

Edit: I forgot my favourite drink, a half coke sized can of cinnamon drink, not sure if Korean or not but they serve it at local restaurants and it's amazing if you like cinnamon, super strong and almost spicy hot tasting.

Looks good, this reminded me of having a Francesinha in Porto, Portugal. Totally epic. A sandwich fully of sausage meat, steak, onions, then covered in grilled melted cheese, doused in a picante gravy and served with chips. Optional fried egg on top. Totally unhealthy but perfect for a night on the lash (skip to 4:50 for the finished product):

It's like a fry up sandwich.

I always find those instant noodles to be very chemically spicy, hence the coughing on the first mouthful. I don't have that issue with restaurant food. There's an awesome little takeaway near my work that I go to for kimchi jigae. Super spicy tofu and pork stew, with kimchi obviously. Heck, that'll clear any cold you have :D (Miss that place, I hope they survive this but I doubt it :()
