any signs of this bundle coming back or sort I build it myself. I'd prefer 24Gb so maybe it would be better to do it myself anyway?
the evga SR2 is like rocking horse excriment
there is no ETA for the board at all. believe me, if we could get them then you would be seeing the £3k bundle back on the website in a flash.
24gb or memory seriously lowers the clocking capability.
if you want 24gb of memory then i would suggest just buying a regular dual socket board in all honesty.
may i also just point out the following.
the bundle in question from the competitor ships at 4GHz
we have done quite a few of these bundles now, they were shipping at 4.2GHz minimum. we even shipped one out with a 4.4ghz profile to Germany as the cpus were so exceptional.
all of these overclocks were dealt with by myself personally and the customer was contacted on each occasion by myself to ensure that they were familiar with how to access the overclock profiles and what kind of settings they needed.
you dont get
that elsewhere
if anyone else still has these in stock [which i highly doubt]
then that only means that they arent selling them.
HPTX form factor is the only thing that is putting me off of this arrangement, at the moment. Will OCUK consider throwing in a case into the mix to make it a complete system offer later on?
we did a system based around this bundle in the armoursuit p80 lian li case.
once the SR2 comes back and EVGA get their butts into gear then im sure you will see the system return.
I think you guys are forgetting that if you are spending 3000 pounds on a computer providing the fault isn't yours, you could easily have this warranted for 6 years under the SOGA, even if you had to take OcUk to court, which, again, if you spent 3k with them, I'm sure they'd be happy to help you.
as i mentioned previously. purchasing this bundle nets you specialist support.
i highly doubt that anybody in the UK will have clocked as many SR2s as i have. the customer buying this bundle obviously has manufacturer warranties etc. but this obviously would depend on availabilty, which brings us back to the original problem
there are no SR2s
