rockstar have really gone down hill imo since vice city and san andreas.

i dont see them as the company they once were tbh even if they are taking in millions

well if that is the case, then it's not as bad as I first thought - however it still indicates to me the direction the game ended up going in was stripped down, remove parts, sell as dlc = profit, which says to me the game was comprimised on purpose and is something I strongly dislike - and what really peed me off with Mafia 2

Didn't notice that, same day as Skyrim. It will have to wait then. Also Arkham City is out at aroud the same time so i might have to wait a while for this. I imagine i will definitely pic it up at some point.
 
Arkham city is the 8th as well!

Lots of games seem to be taking on Skyrim, i would probably buy this and Arkham City on day 1 if they were released any other time(though i do have AC on preorder, from before it was pushed back). Both will be great, i am sure but Skyrim has been hyped so much and the series has such a strong fanbase that it surely isn't great to release anything around the same time!
 
Well to be fair any game that comes out close to Thanksgiving is always going to have massive competition, you always get at least half a dozen 'big' titles coming out at this time of year.

I think pricing could be key here, if they can find a niche for it at say under £25 it could do well. Looking around the net however it seems it is actually more expensive than Batman:AC which doesn't bode well.
 
Really enjoyed what I played of the PS3 version but traded it when the PC version was announced. Bit repetitive maybe but a unique experience with fantastic atmosphere and attention to detail. Will definately be buying.

Just a shame that every other aspect of animation in the game is dire in comparison. It always felt like the faces were being projected onto lifeless manikins. The characters' personalities echoed that too.

I think you will find batman is now pushed back until the 18th.

I was disappointed that it was put back to the 8th because i would have to rush through it if i wanted to play it before Skyrim, now it is the other way around!

Actually, i do have 10 days off work starting the 11th so maybe i will have time to finish it before returning, but i doubt i will have finished skyrim by then:D

hehe, well my pre-order is the 18th now, also a couple of other guys saying the same thing in the batman thread.
 
I will probably be 2 busy with BF3, skyrim and batman, but may check it out later if its ported/works well, GTA4 was awful for PC
