Brought 2 lamb neck fillets earlier for dinner tomorrow with the mrs - suggestions on how to prepare and cook welcome :)

Bring it on please OcUK chefs :D

So you brought it and now you want us to bring it?

Pan fry in olive oil then butter (or just in clarified butter if you're a geek) with some thyme and garlic.

Slice onto a plate next to some summer vegetables with some mini roast potatoes and a red wine jus / gravy / reduction.

Neck fillets? You mean neck chops?

I feed them to my dog lol

KaHn

Neck fillets are different! (Assuming the OP did mean neck fillets)

Personally i'd cut them up into chunks, brown them quickly, then chuck them in a slow cook them in a casserole/stew for hours until tender.

Although..... not a very summery dish :D

Thats them - recommended by a friend but never tried them before hence the thread! :D

Stick them in a curry of your choosing.

Slow cooking with vegetables = a waste of meat. Stews are crap, bland rubbish. I'd rather be eating the vegetables raw and use the meat for something decent.

Just to go against the tide, neck fillets, IMO, make frikkin awesome kebabs.

Marinade them for a few hours in olive oil and some seasoning (a few herbs, salt & pepper). Then griddle (or fry if you must) and bung in a heated pitta with fresh salad. Most awesome :D
