Landscaping - Swimming pool removal?

Looking at the floorplan, do you think bedroom 3 was originally a bathroom and there was just a really wide corridor? Seems odd to lose that corner that's all.

I think the front door was originally where the conservatory was, but when they wanted to build that they needed a new front door so nicked some of bedroom 3 too put a new door / porch in and into the kitchen.

Take the conservatory off and you could have a nice entrance again!

Swimming pool pipes get pressure/leak tested a week today, if they're in good order it's all systems go in reinstating the pool!

Been a busy few weeks of ownership, the side building and cold store (which was built out of lovely asbestos cement board) have been removed and disposed of, we found a massive ants nest in the polystyrene insulation within the cold store which was fun, must have been 6ft wide and 18inches deep, quite cool to see.

The GF is documenting the build and renovation progress on Instagram, @steall_falls_diary if anyone is interested

Pool pipes have checked out okay, new pump required however which means we're going ahead with re-opening the pool - invites to be sent out soon, BBQ and beers provided, bring your own towel.

Could be expensive. If it were me, I'd sell my cloth interior Merc, private plate and tiger shed office and use said money to repair the pool so I could keep an eye on my daughter's boyfriends, pay for my child's sleep consultant and my addiction to cordless Dyson vacuums

Gucci belt would pay for this 4x over

That job looks a nightmare.
My grandparents (now passed) had a 12m*6m fully heated etc poly tunnel pool. Absolutely amazing. Has basically shaped my life having that pool as we lived next door

Now it sits dilapidated.

I can't imagine the amount of piping etc (had its own boiler) you'd need to excavate to remove it.

If it was me I'd either make it into a lush pond or (funds permitting) back to a pool. But damn. Their pool was expensive to run.

Considering the cost to heat a hot tub, I can’t even imagine the cost to heat a pool to any reasonable level, even if using gas. I’ve seen pools with a length of solar panels next to them, but have no idea how effective those are.
