Lapland New Forest

Found this gem by the website creator Steven Gragg who happens to live in Brighton along with the rest of the home boys who have engineered this scam.

This is from their terms of condition of using the website, got this from Google cache as their website is down at the moment.

Guide dogs are permitted, but no other visitor pets or animals are allowed into the theme park.

No smoking is not permitted in the tunnel of light or any buildings or enclosed areas within the theme park.

Our official photographers will be on site. Visitors may take images throughout the theme park except within the designated photographic areas. The Company will not take any responsibility for visitors images.

So that means everyone has to smoke in the wonderful tunnel of light.

Okay, after hilarity subsided for a brief moment, I have to say I'm feeling sorry for the struggling famillies who wasted good cash on this for their children. (Not that I was laughing at them getting ripped off, just the general scenario.)

Did anyone watch the news last night? They had a little article on the place, and they went there at night.

It had the usual theme park type rides (Horesey go around thing :p) etc, and looks 'better' than the first pics that emerged.

ie a desert wasteland.

:D

There's loads of grammar mistakes in the conditions of use, obviously very quickly put together and not checked properly.

We will not be held responsible for extreme weather conditions, floods, fire, earthquakes, terrorist attack, epidemic, storm on the day that you have booked.

Really covering their asses! Love it.

I thought the whole point of going to Lapland was to pretend that you were going to the north pole, i.e. to see Father Christmas at home.

So now you have a very poor imitation of an imitation of a mythical place and people sign up to it? Madness.

My Finnish GF thought this was very funny.
She says people should go to Lapland in Finland if they want a real experience.

I think it was one of the parents complaining that their little Johnny was upset at queuing in the rain for two hours to see Santa and get a £2 gift, then the pig ugly elf pulled out a AK47 and said "sling your hook no refunds here".

Some comedy gold on this thread below, all those parents who got ripped off and are a bit angry.

I know I shouldn't laugh, but I did at one of the comments:

"When we went yesterday, having waited 2 hours to see Father Christmas, he promised my 6 year son that he would get a Lego Sat Wars "Death Star"......................£300!!!!!! Now we've got to explain to our son why that won't happen!"

I took my kids there last year, was nothing like those photos. Plenty of fake snow everywhere and although not a great day for adults (think we were there 3 - 4 hours) my kids loved it. Think there were 3 or 4 log huts where they had activities like making ginger bread men and building bits and pieces plus got a nice book and a present at the end. Loads of people dressed as Elves chucking snowballs with all the kids. I can't honestly see how people are saying it's so bad unless they've completely changed it from last year.

I was under the impression this was the first year for this event, are you sure you didn't go to Lapland UK in Kent or a similar one?
