I've just discovered via Seagates test software that my girlfriends laptop hard drive is full of errors and has pretty much had it.
Its currently a 30GB 4200rpm drive, would I have any problems if I was to replace it with a 5400rpm drive? I'm not sure if there would be any problems with heat.

Its a Patriot 3005 laptop, I've tried searching on the net for a manual or information but can not find anything.
