Laptop GPU

Whilst I don't know I would imagine so, my last two Dell laptops could be powered with any of 3 chargers, the old Dell would take a 60W but wanted a 90w power brick, my new one will take a 90W but wants a 130W power brick. With 3 diff' sizes of power brick I would imagine they all have differing power requirements.

There is no doubt it can be done but unless I had some time on my hands and I didn't give a flying about the laptop I wouldn't risk it, I'm just cautious. Having said that it could be a decent project with plenty of grin factor at the end...

Presumably, as your machine seems to be an MXM-A machine. But I would get in contact with the website and check compatibility beforehand.
 
Theres a interesting thing which runs a standard GPU using an expresscard or a Mpcie port for laptops. It looks like you have to do a bit of messing about to get pcie x2 but it is possible to get around 80 to 90 percent of cards performance. You need external PSU too but thought it was a really good idea.

it also looks like they are working on a version which uses Pcie2 using the expressport only.
