Yes.
Why would i want 2 TVs though?
Plus, the KDL-40V3000 doesnt have the 100hz option.
I was in Tesco last night and they are selling at 42" LG 1080P plasma for £599. I was going to get but understanably they are out of stock. On the website it shows as over £700 so not sure if it is an instore pricing mistake but the woman did not seem to think so but she also could not tell me when it would be back in.

I was just browsing through a catalogue, and finally found the perfect telly
Its 1080p. It does 100hz. It does 24p. And its a good size:
sony bravia kdl-40d3500u
Browsing around the net can see it on sale for £800. £400 cheaper than i was willing to go. .
##EDIT##
Just looked further, can get for £700!
Only problem is, that with the Telly, DVDs are watched through my PC as my DVD player plays things out of sync, and my PC is pretty noisy.
And at the moment, bar MP3 which im about to complete, i have no games to play on said telly.
Basically both options have large disadvanges and are more of 'want' purchases rarther than 'need' purchases.

Jesus christ don't do it, LG = BAD.
I wouldn't say that, even the samsungs are better than LG. If you want a tv with a poor picture that will probably break down then go LG. If you want a tv that offers the best value with nearly the best picture quality, then the panasonic plasmas are the only way.LG are a budget brand easily on par with samsung.

It also says something with pioneer moving to panasonic panels combined with their electronics when they stop 'in house' panel production in the next year.
Sony LCDs are not overpriced.
Dunno where you got that from but M1330s are no where near that price. My m1330:
£615
2GB RAM
T7500 processor
160GB HDD
LED screen
8400GS graphics
9 cell battery
Maybe, but the reviews ive read seem to think that the 100hz is better for normal telly with fast moving stuff & the 24p is great for films. It's just an option considering your original budget was over 1k. The 100hz is also over rated, check out avforums for comparisons, the concensus seems to be with the 40V over the 40D

Thats not to say that i have only the Sony as the only choice there though.
I quite like the look of those ones with the ambilight feature as well...
That plasma TV looks good, but its not a proper HD set, its only 1024 according to the spec sheets i can find.

The base one alone is £579, and thats without the 9 cell battery and LED screen. So theres +150ish.
Plus, you cant get M1330s with the T7500 according to the dell website.
True. I ordered the other half a 1525 and managed to get them to knock the delivery price off. .look in the laptop section. people in there have gotten GREAT deals by haggling with dell salespeople on the phone. some people have had loads knocked off
Its not just a marketing term though, it actually does make a difference.100hz means nothing and is just something to entice people, and i have to say there is no such thing as 'proper HD'.
My eye level will be about 2-2.5meters from the center of the screen, looking upwards slightly due to the seating position. Ive looked at tellys in various shops, and stood about that far away. I recon 42" is about the minimum, 47" ideal, and 52" would be like a cinema, with all my view filled by the screen. What distance will you be sitting from your tv ?
