Hi all,

I'm flying on the 27th with Bmibaby and just wanted to know if I'm allowed to bring my laptop on the plane in my hand luggage with me to use?

Thanks

Using the interwebz during flight has been known to crash planes...apparently.

Remember the film Alive? Based on a true story about South American kids crashing in the cold mountains and living?....Well that plane crashed cos someone used the interwebz.

I believe some planes do now have onboard wi-fi. Expect it to cost a fortune to use though. :/

Otherwise, yes, indeed you should never place laptops in hold baggage. Keep them with you. Some airlines don't like you using wireless mice or bluetooth, so disable those in advance. I'd disable wi-fi in advance too and re-enable it only if you're given the OK to use it onboard. Some airlines also used to not like use of CD/DVD drives, but I think that's less of an issue now.

Ahhhh i see, that must have been because of the time travel vortex that resulted in them logging onto the ISP account from October 13, 1972....the day they crashed.

Tricky stuff negotiating the time travel web...:p

You've also ruined Lost now...

Attempting to 'do' Internwebz on a plane transports you to a hidden island......FACT

Mobiles, internet, wireless etc do not have any effect on flight controls.

It was once thought it did but its since been proved it doesn't and no-ones changed the rules yet.
