Last 3 Film/TV DVD/Blu-Rays you bought and the next 1

@Werewolf i believe Sony have new technology to do better 4k transfers with DV and they are going to redo a few of their earlier 4k transfers.

Just spotted Arrow have a great 4k transfer of the Last Starfighter US only tho which I got to have!!
There have been some massive improvements in the last few years both in the tech and the knowledge/understanding of those doing them.

IIRC they've only just released updated versions of the original ST films where they've finally got the colour actually correct (I'd be tempted to buy them, but I only bought the previous releases not long before they were announced).

I'd really quite like to get a Last Starfighter release here, as I have fond memories of it.

The Abyss will be a pretty much instant pre-order, I've wanted to watch that in HD for so long.

Picked up Weird Science in HMV yesterday. The LeBrock cover is lit.

US/Can release below me wants.
I imagine we'll probably get a similar UK release from Arrow if they can for conan.

Was the weird science disk one of the HMV exclusive covers? (I need to watch my copy that's been sat on the side for what I've just realised is 3 years.

Disney have the rights to Conan in the UK :( so I will have to try and import this. Going to have to try and get myself a multi region blueray player since Blu-Rays are still locked but not 4k disk.

This is the Weired Science copy I picked up.

Last 3 I got were all 4K Blu Rays.

Pacific Rim,
Baby Driver,
No Time To Die.

Next one will be any of the Daniel Craig Bonds movies.

I only buy second hand. So my choices are limited to what I can get and when I can get it.

Love collecting physical media not just for the movie but also if I like the art work to put into rotation (really like Vinegar Syndrome art). Last 3 pick ups were The Mist 4k, Red Dragon 4k and The Exorcist 4k.

Very long time ago (10 years maybe) and I don't have them anymore:

Dark Knight Trilogy HD Blu-ray
Alien Quadrilogy HD Blu-ray
Grindhouse HD Blu-ray

I have no plans for future purchases, main reason is that I hate swapping discs in and out plus the storage space at my place is lacking.

Blues Brothers on 4k Bluray
Zombieland on 4k Bluray
Bladerunner Final Cut on 4k Bluray

Arriving soon... Evil Dead - The Groovy Collection on 4k and normal Burays :D

For anyone that’s interested Zavvi have the two collections editions for Leon back up for sale. Same transfer as before which is flawless but has added DV.

I picked the deluxe up :) only down side is only the Director’s cut is in 4k.

Last 3

tremors , Leon and Violent Night.

Next 1 TrueLies and Aliens. Can’t wait for True Lies I had this on VHS and DVD!!!

Just thought I share a few pictures of my latest purchases as well as two items that I just adore.

Signed Middle Earth collection. I got the signatures and even got a hug from the King of Rohan!!

Leon this came damaged but Zavvi is refunding me 25 quid which brings the price down to the collectors edition which is also inside the deluxe.

I’m not even a steelbook collector but some of these were cheaper than the normal release.

Yes signed by the man himself. :D

My Christmas scores were Christmas Vacation 4k, Moana 4k and The last Starfighter 4k US import. All 3 films I love!!

and just pre-ordered this badboy. (US-IMPORT) Arrow is killing it. Give us Big trouble in little china. I have the Arrow Blu-ray which is superb!!

What a transfer. Blu-ray looks so washed out in comparison. Away to listen to the soundtrack!!

Just bought a 4K Blu-Ray player.

First buys all ordinary BR.

HARRY POTTER BOX SET

DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY

ALIEN ANTHOLOGY 1-4 BOX SET

SAVING PRIVATE RYAN

LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY

Going to get some 4K's later, ie LOTR and my other all-time faves, but kicking off with some BR's to start with.

Most recent Blu-rays:
Patlabor the movie.
Patlabor 2
Patlabor WXIII (Wasted 13).

I really hope that these do well enough for the distributor to try and look at getting the actual TV and OVA series out, as IIRC apart from the first OVA set (which got a BD release a couple of years back) they've never been released here, and all I've got is the ancient US DVD's.

Currently no DVD's or BD's on pre-order, but the next one I'm planning on trying to get is probably going to be The Abyss as IIRC the US version is likely to be region free or region A/B (it looks like it won't get a release here due to the rat scene).
I've no doubt I'll end up buying more before then.

I'm going to try and cut down my disc buying this year.

Last Blu-ray

Das Boot Complete Edition (uncut) 1981
The Good, the bad the Ugly
Spider-verse both movies.

I updated my very old Blu-ray to a Sony 4k. Like picking up favourite movies especially classics on disc, that are hard to get. Not especially bothered about 4K, they are better, but not as big as the jump from DVD to Blu-ray. Blu-rays are a heck of a lot cheaper.

Just finished watching Shogun Series 1980 with one of my teens.
