Last piece of Tech that made you go "WOW!!"?

**** i seen much stuff since im a gamer since comodore 64.
What blew me away:
Contra on Pegasus console
Amiga cdtv. So many games on 1 disc ?? Fast loading ?? wireless controller !!!
Playing Quake 1 and duke3d on VR helmet !!!!
Playstation IT WAS THE ****
Smartphones ---> I was like WOOT satnav and video camera in phone !!!
Gaming in 3D nowadays so good

And next big thing up: Oculus Rift i will get one for myself 4 sure. As my pc can handle 1080 3d atm i just need the helmet !!

As simple a device as it is, my corsair flash survivor. I wowed when I felt the weight of the thing with its billet aluminium casing!!

- Elite on the ZX Spectrum. That sense of wonder at the scale of the game and what you could do with it...
- Alex Kidd built-in on the Sega Master System. The improvement over a Speccy..!
- First Windows 3.1 PC in the house.
- First Windows 95 PC in the house.
- First feeling of satisfaction from building own PC and installing Windows 98, and getting the thing running 100% successfully!
- Early beta of Napster (2001ish?), first 512Kb broadband line I had with NTL, and the potential of the internet (which still surprises me daily today).
- Each generation of graphics cards. First was a Voodoo Banshee 16mb, then a Geforce 2 Ultra 64mb, Geforce 3... I tend to buy 2 generations apart, and can't remember them all in between, but think I had a Radeon R9800, x800, Geforce 8800, now the Crossfired 2x 7850s all have made me drop my jaw in the improvement.
- Solid State Disks - first installation of Windows 7 on a (decently performing!) SSD, and using that machine on a daily basis (even with HDD as a large-volume storage disk) is still a pleasure today.
- Very first generation iPhone, bought it a month after release in the UK and was still using it in 2010. Unfortunately the age of the hardware compared to Apple's bloated iOS releases killed what little enthusiasm I had for Apple in the first place. Still loved the device and the whole touchscreen concept.
- Using a Windows 8 tablet (or rather, installing 8 on a tablet originally released with 7) for the first time - absolutely love it.

SSD for me.
The wow only really came one year on when my computer was still the same speed as a fresh install, and then another wow another year on when it was still quick.

Definitely my first SSD, even on SATA2 it was a massive difference. Way bigger than I was expecting.

My macbook Air is the LAST thing I bought that made me go wow - the boot time, the battery life, the size/weight, everything about it. Best laptop I have ever owned bar none.

When I stuck a Voodoo 3 2000 from pc world in my first pc, a celeron 466mhz.

That was mental fast at the time.

Since then prob when I bagged a E6300 and a P965 mobo and cranked it to 3.2ghz off the bat, that was unheard of at the time and was so many times faster than the AMD set up id come from.

Playing Ultima Underworld and Ultima 7 such great games at that time.

Going from Diablo (my addiction) to WOW (my new addiction)

WOW free for a few years now im MMO's out lol

OFC SSD's and each jump in GPU's always make me smile

Getting a 17" flatscreen instead of a CRT so much desk space

Getting a Samsung 305t 30"

Must admit - SSD has made the biggest impact in terms of performance. Hugely noticeable when first making the jump from old school mechanical drives.

Everything else is pretty marginal. Gave up on PC based gaming a long time ago. Can't believe I used to get so excited over Nvidia and ATI releases /embarrassed!

I have a retina MBP. It's got some wow factor in it but not as much as I'd hoped!

Most recently the GTX 680.

So many new techs in this latest line from Nvidia. Adaptive Vsync, Boosting clocks automatically, power efficiency.....
