Last question before first overclock?

……Regarding your earlier comment, the Clock Speed will vary if CPU IEST is enabled as the CPU multiplier changes.
Mine varies with it disabled so perhaps the other settings in 'Advanced BIOS Features' play a part

Is my CPU behaving correctly? In CPU-Z the multiplyer and clock speed keeps changing?

If CPU IEST is enabled it is designed to reduce the multiplier and therefore your speed at ‘quiet’ times.

Generally a good idea perhaps but not normally recommended when testing overclocking.

THANKS to everyone for helping! I just did my first overclock! I went straight to 2.67GHz but felt i diddnt want to go that high till i have a better heatsink. Im now running at 2.4GHz on stock. Does this look safe?

Looking at your speedfan program the voltages are wrong i get the same thing

i think you should go for 2.66 and test there they use the same cooler as a E6750 uses right? Im on stock cooling and at 3.2 Ghz :p

have fun :D
