nothing was running when i did this test excluding AVG in the background.

Speedstep throttles back the core speed when at IDLE from the default 3.3GHz to 1.6GHZ.

Turboboost auto overclocks the CPU to 4 speed bins higher, so a max of 3.7GHz

Then did you fiddle with any of the BIOS settings? there is an selectable 4GHZ, 4.2GHz, 4.4GHz, 4.6GHz,4.8GHz overclock feature in the BIOS, looks like,

I didnt change anything on the bios, didn't even go on it. Just started the PC and it booted directly from the CD

I'm going to go on the bios and put it down. I'll put it on 4ghz. So the only thing i have to do is the just open the drop down menu and press on the 4.0ghz one?

Load optimized settings in the bios so everything is at default, then just select the 4ghz option.

What was on the bios. When i went to overclock. The 4.6ghz wasnt selected, it was at default.

Are you connecting them via the front or back ports (Try something else in the front ports, to make sure its connected to the motherboard and working) Also, does it even show in Device Manager as unknown device or anything?
