Latest batch of Q6600's.... really poor overclockers!

My VID is 1.1625v on speedstep, 1.2750v normally.

I got quite excited when I saw such a low vid, but 1.2750 still seems pretty good. Should I be expecting a decent clock?

It's a 65nm G0

Almost certainly the Core Temp/Speedstep bug. Disable SpeedStep and the real VID usually appears.

he is running 1.35v 3.6ghz stable atm so either way its good

Most of the current batch seem to be 1.325VID, which will overclock anything from 3.2Ghz-3.6Ghz, pot luck. I was playing on a test rig the other night and 3.6Ghz was the limit with blue screens when booting into windows with anything higher.

That said, some of the batch are better - had a 1.20VID when building today.
