Either you don't like football or you're being ridiculously bias to PES (or you're one of the EA hating saddos around).
Tbh I don't even know why this thread is continuing as there isn't as far as I know a confirmed release date for either title.
P.S. I really hope EA make a better game than Euro08 as that game is a step backwards from Fifa08 which I thought was excellent.

Bit harsh.
To be honest, I find it hard to like FIFA games as well, something about how they play and feel, despite the fact they have gradually improved, just doesn't get on with me. I've always thought what was going on on-screen, and what you were doing with the pad were always slightly disjointed.
The last few PES games have been garbage, and I certainly don't hate EA

1.) Not all football fans like football games
2.) Not everyone buys every title. Personally I normally have at least a 1-2 year gap between buying sports titles, this might be the first year I break that though.

International SuperStar Soccer 98 was the greatest soccer game ever created. I spent the entire summer of 99 playing this with friends. Ahhh the memories.

I agree with you about Euro08. Graphics wise it's 'better' than fifa08, it also has a few decent new features like be a pro season mode I believe. Playability wise it just didn't seem to do it for me though.
That game was legendary. 'GOAL GOAL GOALLLLLLLLLLLL'
This is the first year I've played an EA football game over PES.
I hope the new PES is going to be a lot better than 2008's!

I thought I remembered them talking about those 'new' features last year, was just about to say what a typical EA cop-out
LittleBigPlanet is to be released on the 3rd of October.
Also released on this date...... FIFA 09.
It's going to take a miracle for this game to get to number 1. It's a shame that such innovative games get out done by below average sequels.
I would hazzard a guess that the POTENTIAL market for a cartoony platformer is a lot larger than any single very specific (albeit large) sports market
IE LBP could still be selling consistantly after Fifa10 or 11 has been released
(ok may still not make #1 but could outsell 09 in time)
