Le Mans 24 hour race - 2015

I've just spotted that the 2 remaining Nissans are still running, but are both right at the back of the whole field?

Can someone summarise the issues they have had?

Not seen that before, heard about it on the commentary, but the #7 Audi is a touch crispy on the rear. Running extremely close to their limit if they're cooking the bodywork.

Brakes keep needing to be replaced as the hybrid system isn't working to take some of the strain.

Plus accidents, other failures and just slow...

Bringing a rusty knife to an rpg shooting contest

Cheers.

Their pace alone would put them mid/low P2. So to be right at the back they have obviously had further issues.

I hadn't twigged the brakes would be hammered without the ERS units running. How long to change the brakes?

In an interview they said the whole caliper, pads and disk assembly could be removed/replaced as a single unit without having to bleed the brakes, so I'm assuming VERY quickly

Interesting comments from the Eurosport guys. If Hulk wins this and then rocks up to F1 next weekend, what will others think? He will show its clearly possible to do both, and I expect their is a bunch of F1 drivers who would love to do Le Mans.

Could we see a few more current F1 drivers doing Le Mans next year? I doubt the Factory teams would let their drivers do it (so that removes Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren and probably Red Bull), but some of the others might?
