Le Mans - Circuit de la Sarthe 2016 – FIA WEC – Race 3 / 9

Eurosport last night was a total joke. At times we had about 8 minutes of coverage between ad breaks of 2-3 minutes each! That's beyond a joke and if it stays that way for the race itself, they'll end up covering about 18 hours of the full 24!

Have you never watched Le Mans on Eurosport before?

Yes but it's worse than it used to be. In years past the ad breaks were less frequent and shorter, albeit with the same damn crappy ads every single time (whoever came up with that Yokohama Advan advert needs shooting).

They're starting to take the mick with the sheer quantity of ads but there's no alternative without suffering a drop in quality and loads of faffing about.

Its not worse than it used to be. Its always been like this, using the US style of adverts every 7 minutes or so. I've been watching Le Mans on Eurosport for as long as I can remember and every year people complain about the frequency of the adverts :p.

Well I'm sure it's getting slightly worse every year. If it annoys me too much I may just use the dedicated Player stream with RLM commentary on TuneIn but it's such a faff and lower quality.

Oh and when did they employ that talentless tosspot Neil Cole? Hoped I'd seen the last of him after his appalling turn presenting WRC coverage years back.

I was scheduled to go this year for the third time but **** happened. Mates are on their way out there now. I shall be glued to it all weekend though.

Anyone else tempted to get in a car and go drive down.....I am.

I've been tempted to pack my bags and just go. :D However, looking at the weather and that I am just going to stock up on beer etc... tomorrow and watch it at home.

Looks like Fords plan may backfire as they blew their load too early by going for it in Qualifying. The ACO can adjust the balance of power up until tomorrow night and they seem to be considering it for both Ferrari and Ford (although the Ferraris are just fast, as opposed to 'bending' the rules).

Safety Car driver has just earned his pay for the week.

Camera crew are having some fun too. I think they're going a bit loopy.

*edit*

Frogs reported on the track...
How did they get from their seats and past the safety barriers? ;)
