Le Mans Ultimate (Official WEC game)

I've signed up for the Season 2 Championships, starting 4th Feb - The Hypercar Fixed and the Endurance Series.

It only shows Hyper and GTE for the Endurance Series in the screenshot above, but in game it's all of the classes - Hyper, LMP2 and GTE.

I’ve picked this up again recently and been very pleasantly surprised with the progress and improvement made. Performance is now really good on triples, and the tyre model feels incredible. Cold tyres can be lethal, just like for real and you really feel connected to them.

You can push on them and really get a sense of where the limit is; unlike in iRacing, where the limit point is a knife edge. Driving close to the edge becomes quite balanced as a result and if you overdrive, the feedback lets you know you’ve cooked your tyres.

It’s showing lots of promise and the online racing has been great for the most part. I’m really looking forward to the driver swaps coming in & fingers crossed for a full 24hr Le Mans in the near future.

The games userbase is still far too small to have proper competitive racing if you're any good. As soon as you get out of the casual dailies it's a ghost town with races that often don't split resulting in a huge variation in skill/driving standards. It's a bit like ACC in that it seems to appeal to the more casual sim racers who just want to do the same old 20 minute GT3 races, also 95% of the playerbase seem incapable of getting out of Bronze SR which blows my mind.

Very decent sim but not enough quick or hardcore simmers playing it for it to be much fun outside the casual dailies. Gets very boring curbstomping the next-best driver by 2 seconds a lap in a 90 minute race.
