Help me Oc-U-Kenobi, you're my only hope!!

So... following on from this thread: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18088412

I got the car back yesterday, drove into work, and noticed the temps shooting up. Pulled up, checked the coolant level and it was just below the minimum line, bit wierd since i'd checked it about a week ago. I topped it up, and everything cooled down a bit (or so I thought) carried on to work, except on the way I noticed that the vents were only blowing cold air.

When I got to work I checked the coolant level again, and it was right back down, almost at the minimum line, there's also a constant trickle of coolant coming out of the bottom of the rad.

So my first question is, could this have been caused by the belt pinging into the radiator when it came off?

Secondly, shouldn't the garage have noticed this when they were replacing the pulley and belts?

Thirdly, my mate mentioned some additive you add to the coolant which seals any small leaks internally - is this stuff any good? and usable long term?

Finally, how difficult/expensive is it to just replace the whole radiator, bearing in mind I'm quite mechanically minded but haven't really worked on a car before?

Will be sticking this on ClubVR4 too for hopefully some help!

Cheers guys =)

dont use any of those "rad leak" things.... just dont.

slim chance of the belt damanging the radiator, id be betting money that the garage damaged it whilst replacing the belt.

a rad can be as simple as a few bolts and a couple hose clips or it could be whole front end off. you own the car though so you tell us.

the fact the heater is blowing cold shows the matrix is full of air, ie the cooling system needs to be bled
