Great news.
I was the opposite with jobs, I like to experience different industries and meet new people, fresh challenges. When I land a role I set to achieve my set goals, or "fix" what is broken. When things are set and everything is running smooth and future proof, I get board and start to look elswhere.
It's done me well in my career so far and have had some nice salaries along the way, built a fantastic network and got a lot of experiences.
However, I recently got burned moving to a company who actually only wanted me as a stop gap, then shoved me out the door as soon as their man come along. So I have been left jobless since Febuary. Honestly been the hardest few months of my life.
With this experience, and my daughter now 5yrs old and settled in school, my approach is totally different. I have been looking for a local job, somewhere I can just put my roots down and settle for the next 10 years.
Finally got offered that position, working in my own town with an 8minute commute to work.
It's all about balance, enjoying your job but having that time for yourself and family too.
