Hi all.

I'm struggling to find a green led cpu fan. I can find case fans ok.

I have an arctic cooler which I want to keep, I only want to change the fans if possible.

Can I use a case fan instead of a cpu fan?

Thanks.

In theory you can just slap on the green LED fan and it'll still work, although the effectiveness likely will go down. Even if it is a case fan vs a cpu fan. Typically the difference is marginal unless if you're running something that needs really high fan pressure to get past (like a dense fin rad). The main difference is noise and performance, and if you're OK with that, it should be fine.

Are normal RGB Fans not suitable and set to Green only? Which Arctic Cooler are you using?

I'd imagin it should be fine then. As for the RGB fans being set to G only, I'm fairly certain that's possible from what I've read, but as I don't use RGB in my systems, I can't really tell you more. But you might find more luck by asking in the Overclocking and Cooling sub-forum section. More there should be familiar with such use and ask the right questions on what you have to see if it'll work or not.
