Left 4 Dead demo available

Downloaded it in the morning when less people attempting to starve the servers of oxygen. Will be having a play with the demo when I get home. From what my pre-order colleague has said, it's awesome and you don't get tired of it. Looking at the game clips.. looks great lol.

played for a good 20 minutes online, its awesome, then it crashed when I got attacked by a giant zombie with huge arms. :(

Valve got another cracker on their hands. Been playing since the weekend having pre-ordered. Awesome easy fun!

"Dont shoot vehicles as car alarms attract the horde".... "o'rly?.... *Bang*

LOL... a warning like that demanded testing :D I shot the car immediately :p

40 mins left... :D Then it's time for some co-op action. Is there an OcUK group / channel / server to join?

Not sure about the server browser. What happened to being able to choose the game you want to play in? I keep getting put into servers with 150-300 ping that seem to spaz out when the hoarde arrives.

Are there proper dedicated hosts or do people just host from their own pc?

Mine freezes and sound loops every time I try to play. Every other game on my system works fine. Meh.

I'll get it on the 360.

Just played it once, great fun although i have no mic. But all the hints and tooltips are well done and kind of negate the absolute need for a mic. I'm downloading the xbox demo to compare right now, though i'll undoubtably get it on pc.

Exactly, so why would you make it so limited.

That would be the point, such a limited demo pretty much precludes me ever having a chance to try it and actually being afforded the opportunity to make an informed judgement on it.

Who's upset? not me, just stating the facts as I see them, it's a game, plenty of others out there who seem to be happy to supply a demo I will actually be able to play and therefore far more likely to get my money.

If this thread is anything to go by though it appears the demo has won over many who would have otherwise not risked paying between £22 and £35 on something which has been perceived to be a "mod", so in this respect the demo has been a good move
