My mum needs a new PC (her Athlon XP 3000+, 512mb RAM, MX440 doesn't cut it anymore) so I might try and sell the OCZ to her as a part of a new PC build.

I already sent a trouble ticket to OCZ a few days ago about the RAM and they sent an email back requesting my address etc, just sent it now so should have something sorted soon. What kind of packaging will I need to send it them? Does anybody know much about OCZ's RMA process?

return the modules in the same packaging you received it in. If you dont have the packaging wrap modules in anti static bag or anti static bubble wrap. Enclose in a jiffy bag The RMA modules are sent to Holland.

Ensure at the post office you ask for international registered post requiring signature and insure the items will cost you £5-30

OCZ will issue you a ticket number/ RMA number which you can access via the ocz forum and they tell you how to return the modules. Follow the instructions for repacking the modules.

If you have any problems post on the forum and ask for OCZ Ryder under his name will be email

The new modules will be sent from California to you by UPS priority delivery. The entire process takes approx 10 days.

Right I've decided. I'm going to spend up to £100 on new RAM then sell the replacements I get from the RMA to my mum because she needs a new PC.

Reccomendations?

Well I just got my new ram! Shoved it in and it booted up straight away without any problems which is instantly better than the OCZ lol. Will be running memtest tonight but leaving it for now. Also sent off my OCZ for RMA today, all is looking good.

Oooh much much better. Decided to go for it and ramped it straight up to 900mhz 2.2v (4-4-4-12) and left memtest going for 5hours. 0 errors. Victory!
