Legend of Grimrock - Dungeon Master Fan's !

Ooh some goodies as well for pre-ordering including some music, artwork and desktop wallpaper.

82% downloaded at 1.14MB/sec out of a possible 2.2MB/sec so their server must be a little busy.

But it's totally typical of Steam to miss the 6pm slot. The only time they get it right is when it's their software.

I did get briefly stuck, but not any more... I've killed a couple of different things now, cast one spell... gathering some stuff up... It's a bit dark though!

Pretty naff that it hasn't unlocked on steam. I have downloaded the installer, but i'll wait till i've had my tea to see if the steam version unlocks.

The big slug was pretty pro. Backed me into a corner and I panicked! Tried to cast spells; but they merely "fizzled", and the one I did guess correct was too high level. Alas I also forgot to carry sodium chloride.

I've finished level 1. The spoiler is no holds barred.
I've managed to collect a spear and shield from the centurion. I picked up a dagger and a club. The club had a penalty to accuracy so I'm using the dagger and the spear. I got beaten up a fair bit by the walking mushrooms, I was just standing toe to toe with them. Doors don't work like DM, they're between cells rather than in a cell. I solved the secret at the end of the level, and it looks like staves work better than they did in DM. Picked up a couple of loincloths and some clothes too.

Can't believe I let all 4 of my players die in the first level. A true amatuer. Then it has been many many years since I played this sort of game.

Chaos Strikes Back is another kettle of fish entirely!

Completed that about two weeks ago for the first time. It was, even with a fully edited team of Masters, solid. Most of the puzzles were fine - there was just this one room on Dain (I think) where you had false walls and what have you (near the press eastwards scroll) which confused the hell out of me - I managed to get past that and chucked the corbain (sp?) into the fuyla pit and job done.

So little reward for such hard work!

Dungeon Master is vastly superior though and lookign forward to getting my mits on this!

Is this making anyone else's graphics card fan go full speed? Either that or my fan needs a clean as it's bloody noisy playing this.

Bloody hell, wanted to start my game on steam but anyone that pre-ordered gets shafted. If you buy direct from steam now it unlocks. What a joke.

Mine goes on, yeah. And the graphics don't seem to warrant that in the least. That's me with vsync on too. I'm using an 580 overclocked to 915.

Yep it is annoying, I'll have to restart it once my pre-order finally decides to unlock, unless I can use my existing save.

I've got mine set so that it ramps up quite fast, under the assumption that if anything taxes it then it's going to really tax it - this game shouldn't really be taxing it, yet it is. I can certainly fiddle with Afterburner to get it quieter, but I shouldn't need to for this!

Level 2 is more difficult.. the room with the pressure pad in the middle.. ouch!
