Legend of Grimrock - Dungeon Master Fan's !

I'll be in on day one for this. Unless it's out this year, in which case I'll be in as soon as I can. :)

Getting the Dungeon Master vibe!

The Legend of Grimrock Blog announces Legend of Grimrock is now in beta testing, quickly quashing hopes of those eager to try Almost Human Games' upcoming dungeon crawler by adding: "at this point we are not looking for additional beta testers." They also offer a new beta trailer and word that the game will not be released this year as they had planned:
Secondly, many of you have been asking if we’re on time for launch at the end of this year. Looking at the game we have now we could do it but that wouldn’t be the best game we can deliver. We want to make this game really shine so that’s why we have decided to push the release to early next year. With the extra time we can hopefully fix all the bugs, make the level flow better, tweak item attributes to perfection and adjust the balance to be just right. These are the things that really matter to us, and hopefully to you as a player too! We are not ready to give an exact release date yet, because when we give a date we want to keep the promise too. But don’t worry, we won’t take too long! :)

Just seen the Beta trailer and I have to say it does look good. I've been a long time Rogue fan so hopefully this quenches my thirst for a dungeon crawler-esque game!

Drawing a wealth of knowledge from the good book of 1980s-era dungeon crawling 101, the folks over at Almost Human, Ltd. know their chops when it comes to exploring dank corridors, sticking it to drippy-mawed beasts, and scavenging for scraps of gear needed to survive. The indie studio's upcoming Legend of Grimrock is absolutely awash in old-school nostalgia, channeling the spirit that made classics like Eye of the Beholder and Dungeon Master so hard to step away from as a kid. But pushing deep into the monster-filled innards of the game's ominous subterranean realm during my hands-on time revealed much more to this dungeon crawler RPG than mere retro charm.

Just for practically re-creating my beloved Dungeon Master Ill be buying this with a smile :D

Must admit the quality of these smaller publishers / Indie developers has really been shining this past year.

This looks like its coming along really well. Can't wait for them to give a release date. Definite purchase from me.

That statement is so true, this past year the games i've enjoyed the most have been indie games. No bean-counters getting in the way telling them to release it before its finished!
